Why is this useful for rural and remote people?
The Health Workforce Locator is an important tool for rural and remote people to find out their regional classification and workforce priority status. Health and Medical Workforce distribution policies and funding are based on a distribution priority which takes into account geographic remoteness and the accessibility of workforce in particular locations. Understanding your remoteness and workforce classification is important to understanding the resources you may be able to access and support.
